Like many other countries, the Scandinavian club sides first appeared in any quantity in the big increase in Subbuteo teams of 1978, when team production increased from 191 to 321. So in the 200s we find ten sides from Finland (239-248), nine from Norway (228-230, 232-238), twelve from Sweden (282-293), but only one from Denmark (224 - Frem).
Most of these early teams were phased out between 1981 and 1985, and these countries never again had exclusive ranges - they had to make do with using sides already assigned to other teams. The later English catalogues seem to have a "country of the year" where they suddenly start to name sides for a particular country. For Denmark, this was 1990. Norway also sees teams added in the 1990s.

September 2002: Thanks to Dave Orr, and Michael Madsen for doing the Danish corrections. AAB is short for AAlborg Boldklub, with the AA now being changed to a Å.
When I originally checked the Subbuteo names to real life, I had found lots of clubs with the name B19xx, without finding B1903. So I was wondering if the number was wrong, and why so many clubs were called this. Michael Madsen explains....
Regarding B1903: In Denmark it was normal to name a new club, after the year it was founded. So B1903 means "Boldklubben af 1903" - Football club of 1903. And there are many of them: B1901, B1908, B1911, B1913, B1921 and so on. In 1992 B1903 merged with KB (Københavns Boldklub, Copenhagen), and the new name was FC Copenhagen.
So B1903 is correct. Hurrah.
Finland.
August 2003: Bernard Cros has kindly provided the full names for the Finnish clubs. It is worth noting that PS in the short names stands for Palloseura, which simply means Football Club. You can see why these teams just stick with the initials....
